Advanced Practice Certificate Programs:
Certificates are offered through the newly launched Institute for the Advancement of Forensic Behavioral Science, Public Safety, and Justice.
*Select certificates will be accepted for transfer credit toward select three-unit courses in the MS in Forensic Behavior Science or MS in Forensic Administration and Leadership; up to two certificates can be transferred.
Each Advanced Practice Certificate offers nine units of credit. You’ll take three courses over three eight-week terms—all entirely online, and all taught by practicing professionals who are recognized as experts.

This program is for those who understand that the health of an organization depends on the health of everyone in it, and want to help organizations and the people within them reach new heights of success.
This program will expand your knowledge and skills in this critical field. With a focus on mental health and human behavior, you’ll learn to understand the psychological processes underlying human behavior and the tools used to apply this knowledge in clinical practice, resulting in improving the health and well-being of communities.
This program offers a specialized curriculum, which includes both academic work and clinical training experiences, for students who have already earned a doctorate in psychology (or a closely related field) from an accredited institution and wish to re-specialize in clinical psychology, usually to become a license-eligible psychologist.
This program offers a variety of challenging courses to give you the knowledge needed to succeed as a health service psychologist. Along with clinical training, evidence-based practice, and professional guidance, you’ll get hands-on experience through a number of different learning opportunities with other professionals in the field.
When you’re ready to advance beyond your master’s degree, a PsyD in Marriage and Family Therapy degree will expand your ability to treat your clients holistically. This field of psychology focuses on each aspect of who we are as individuals in various communities, taught through a model of scholarship and hands-on practice.
As modern businesses become increasingly complex, organizations must find effective ways to remain competitive. Organization development can make a difference in developing individual competencies, increasing team effectiveness, realigning culture, or improving structures, systems, and practices to enhance performance.
This certificate is designed to develop competencies in working with lesbian, gay male, bisexual and transgender individuals, couples and families. The program focuses on multicultural competencies specific to the intersecting identities of LGBTQ clients, historical and cultural influences impacting LGBTQ clients, and best practices for assessing and addressing issues in LGBTQ mental health.
